What are your primary responsibilities at WEPC?
I work alongside parents to bring the Gospel to bear in the lives of their children. I develop programs and curriculum and work with volunteers in Children's Ministry, all to show kids their need for a Savior and point them to Jesus.
What do you see God doing at WEPC?
I see God revealing Himself to kids in simple ways, as they encounter a Savior who loves them and knows each one of them by name. I see God knitting His people together in community, sharing our lives with one another, as we follow Jesus together.
What is your favorite book?
I love to read, and my favorite genre is Historical Fiction. It is always exciting to learn more about other places and times. Some recent books that I enjoyed are Born a Crime (Trevor Noah), The Nightingale (Kristin Hannah), The Language of Flowers (Vanessa Diffenbaugh), and The Secrets of Mary Bowser (Lois Leveen). I've been in a book club for nearly 10 years and we just read our 100th book!
Tell us about your family and/or what you like to do for fun.
I met my husband, Jon, at WEPC in 1998, and married into a Hokie family in 2000. We have four kids, and enjoy going to sporting events together, having family and friends over to watch VT games in our always messy house, watching movies, and playing with our dog, Coco.
