Advent is a four-week-long season (beginning SUN, December 1) leading up to Christmas that helps us to remember Christ’s first coming and reflect on the mystery of the Incarnation. It also teaches us to look eagerly for His second coming when He will return to redeem His creation and exercise His rule with all power and authority.
WEPC Daily Lectionary Readings
Our readings will continue during Advent and go through Dec. 25. If you would like to receive the Daily Scripture Reading, click on the link below.
Family Advent Book
The Family Advent Project is a great way to include younger worshipers in the season of Advent. This season’s book, The Way to the Manger, has 25 days of devotions, activities, and discussion questions that encourage families to enjoy time together and look to Jesus. The book will be available beginning December 1 in the Gallery. (Suggested donation of $5 to help cover the cost of the books).
Christmas Eve at WEPC
Join us at 4 PM for a family-friendly service celebrating our Savior’s Advent through Scripture and song. We will follow with a communion service of Lessons and Carols at 7 PM.
Deacons’ Ministry Fund Offering
At both Christmas Eve services, we will take an offering for the Deacons' Mercy Ministry Fund, which provides financial assistance for the needy in our church and community and for ministries approved by the WEPC Diaconate. Children are encouraged to bring an offering of non-perishable food for the In Jesus' Name Food Pantry at the 4 PM service.
